In case you haven’t heard, we’re three months away from the National Conference on Ending Homelessness!

Scholarship applications for organizations and consumers who are unable to afford to attend the are being accepted until next Wednesday, May 11. Individuals who work with organizations to end homelessness are eligible to receive a scholarship covering the full cost of registration. Individuals who are currently or have formerly experienced homelessness are eligible to receive a scholarship covering registration as well as travel, hotel and a stipend. Please review all guidelines before applying for the scholarship. You can direct any questions you may have to us via email.

The annual conference is taking place from Wednesday, July 13 to Friday, July 15 at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you there. Workshops, speakers, and other agenda items are still being worked out (have a suggestion? Leave a comment!) but we’ll be updating the event website as we make decisions moving forward.

Hello my name is Nickie, and I am formally homeless. I want to use my experience to lend a voice and face to the homeless community. Please pass my story on to those you believe may be able to benefit,or help me in spreading the word about homelessness! Thank you!
I believe that my story is my best asset. Therefore I hope that by telling my story, I can inspire people to reach out and help those in need. I was offered assistance from people who did not know me, but just wanted to help. Every time I hold my house key in my hand, I vow to give back to a community that gave so much more than a key to me.
